Spencer Haywood was named to the All-NBA First Team in 1972 and 1973 and the All-NBA Second Team in 1974 and 1975. His 29.2 points per game in the 1972-73 season and 13.4 rebounds per game in 1973-74 are still the single-season record averages for the Supersonics for these categories. Haywood played in four NBA All-Star Games including a strong 23 point 11 rebound performance in 1974. He would be traded to the Knicks in 1975 where he was teamed with Bob McAdoo. On the left front tail is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with the jersey size "44" on it. Above that is an additional “Gerry Cosby” distributor’s tag. Across the front of the jersey is "NEW YORK" in orange on blue tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "42" in orange on blue tackle twill. Across the back is "HAYWOOD" in blue tackle twill. On the inside back waistband of the shorts is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with the shorts size "34" on it. “42” is written on this tag in black marker. Next to that is an additional “Gerry Cosby” distributor’s tag. The uniform shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
