After completing his studies at Oxford, and playing professional basketball briefly in Italy for Olympia Milano (1965-66 season), where he won a European Champions Cup (the most important trophy for European teams), Bradley returned to the U.S. to join the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association. On the court, Bradley struggled in his rookie year before coming into his own in his second season, when he was moved from the guard position to his more natural forward slot. In 1969–70, he helped the Knicks win their first NBA championship, followed by a second in 1972–73. The second championship season was Bradley's best as a pro, and he made his only All-Star Game appearance that year. His first NBA title also made him the first player ever to win an Olympic gold medal, a European Champions Cup, and an NBA championship ring. This feat has only been matched by Manu Ginóbili (in Ginóbili's case, the relevant European title is the current Euro league). Retiring from basketball in 1977, he was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. In 1984 the Knicks retired his number 24 jersey. On the back inside collar is the "Gerry Cosby" distributors tag. Attached is the size “46” flag tag. On the inside left front tail is the “Bradley” embroidered felt strip tag. On the front left breast is the “NY” logo in orange on white tackle twill. Across the back is "NEW YORK" in orange on white tackle twill. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
