This Miami Dolphins vintage, one-of-a-kind 1972 pennant was displayed during the January 14, 1973 Super Bowl VII festivities at Pete Roselle's "owners" party and then moved to the L.A. Coliseum for the game, which the undefeated Dolphins won 14-7 over the Washington Redskins. This huge felt pennant, measuring a whopping 5'8" in length and 27.5" height (at the widest point), features the Miami Dolphins helmet with the NFL logo below it, and the team name spelled out in extra-large letters, "MIAMI" in white and "DOLPHINS" in aqua-green, against an orange background. Led by legendary team manager Don Shula, quarterback Bob Griese and fullback Larry Csonka, the '72 Dolphins are considered one of the best teams in NFL history. This vintage pennant is a fitting tribute to the Dolphin's 1972 "banner" year - a phenomenal season in which they finished unbeaten (17-0) and capped off by a glorious Super Bowl win.
