Vintage timepiece manufactured in 1938 by the United Clock Company of Brooklyn, created to celebrate the phenomenal worldwide success and popularity of Joe Louis. Bronzed, with its original United "Self-Starting" electric clock (not functioning) set amid intricate and finely detailed casting, including "Joe Louis" and "World's Champion" in raised relief and laureled detail. Measures 12” tall with an almost 9” base, all original, overall EXMT condition with light wear.
