9-1/2” x 11-1/2” sheet signed in blue and black ink by 14 members of the 1953 Fargo-Moorhead Twins of the Northern League, a class C farm club of the Indians. Signatures include a very young 19 year old Roger Maras – that's right Maras - before he became the New York Yankee known as Roger Maris, who found himself thrust into the annals of baseball history. By 1955, Roger changed his last name so that he would not have to endure the unflattering chants from fans in the stands bent on rhyming his "Maras" name inappropriately. Other signatures include Ray Mendoza, Bob Melton, Don Wolf and others. Maris was the rookie of the year and led the Twins to the league championship. On the back of the sheet is pasted a newspaper article about the team. Page shows some tears on the edges, signatures grade from 8 to 9. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
