Typed letter on his personal letterhead dated October 18, 1938, in the middle of his tenure as manager of the Yankees, signed in blue fountain pen by HOFer Joe McCarthy. Letter is to a fan and reads in part “I’m glad the honor of winning three consecutive World Series went to the American League.” Letter shows some folding and minor soiling, signature grades a 9.
