Circa 1952 cardboard advertising display sign featuring Brooklyn Dodger great Gil Hodges endorsing Chesterfield Cigarettes. This is one of a series of posters issued by Chesterfield in the late 1940s and early 1950s featuring ballplayers and hung in train stations, on newsstands and in retail outlets. Measures 21”x 22”, bold colors, in near-EX condition with some creasing and staining, both a 3” tear on the left and a tear and the center right show evidence of repair.
