“When you come to a fork in the road, take it." Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra played almost his entire career for the New York Yankees and was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. Berra was one of only four players to be named the Most Valuable Player of the American League three times and one of only six managers to lead both American and National League teams to the World Series. He won ten World Series as a player, the most in history, one ring for each finger. This “Spalding” catcher’s mitt has “42-739” stamped on the top of the inner pocket as well as “All-Star Model” and “Larry Yogi Berra”, his facsimile signature. On back adjacent to the “Spalding” tag is Berra’s signature done in blue ink rating a 6-7. On the outer wrist is “BERRA 3” in black marker. The glove shows nice game-use and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
