This first baseman’s mitt was used by NY Mets star Ed Kranepool during the historic 1969 World Series when the Mets won their first World Championship in team history defeating the Baltimore Orioles. It has no manufacturer’s markings or tags. On the outer thumb is “KRANE 7” written in black marker. The inner pocket has “E-Z FLEX” and “SUPER FLEX WEB” stamped in black. The glove shows tremendous game-use and is accompanied by a LOA from Ed Kranepool himself. Also in this lot is a framed 8x10 black and white photo of Shea Stadium signed by Kranepool in black marker with inscription “We won it all” rating an 8-9 as well as a plaque/photo of Kranepool from the NY Post. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA for the signature.
