On the front center inside tail is the "McAuliffe Uniform Corp." manufacturers tag. Adjacent are three additional manufacturer’s tags,"1982," the jersey size "38 and the wash instructions tag. On the front left chest is "A's" in yellow on green tackle twill. On the back is the player number "1" in the same tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "MARTIN" in green tackle twill. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The following information as well as last three photos pictured below have been added since our catalog has been published to further prove to the authenticity of this jersey. Photo 4/D which references the National Baseball Hall of Fame Dressed to the Nines Uniform Data Base, illustrates the different styles of uniforms worn by the Oakland Athletics in 1982. Style one depicts same style jersey as this Billy Martin jersey offered here, a home pullover jersey, manufactured by McAuliffe. Style two, the button down home alternate jersey, was manufactured by Wilson. This information is further backed up by pictures 5/E and 6/F below, which reference the MLB Jersey Style Guide Double Knit Era. The first image shows an Oakland A's home pullover with McAuliffe manufacturers tags worn between 1972-84. The second lists the year of the jersey (1982) as well as the manufacturer of the home jersey (McAuliffe).
