This lot comes to us from the personal collection of Brian McNamee. In October of 2000, the NY Yankees defeated the NY Mets in the Subway Series, proving once and for all who the Kings of the City were. Our consignor tells informed us that this full bottle of champagne and locker room cap were obtained by McNamee from the NY Yankee clubhouse at Shea Stadium during the 2000 World Championship celebration. This Korbel full bottle of champagne has “World Series Champs 10/26/2000 Yanks 4 Mets 2 Yanks Win 4 games to 1 METS DONE” written on front by Brian McNamee. The cap is the Official 2000 Locker Room cap and is heavily stained with champagne. This lot comes with a LOA from Brian McNamee.
