This large, colorful ambassador’s robe is made of fabric personally selected by Cecil B. DeMille in 1939, and then lost in storage on the Paramount Lot. It was found by costume designer Robert Fletcher who was assigned to garb the many Star Trek aliens as well as to design the new Starfleet uniforms. The robe was originally made for someone who was 6’10’ tall. It is accompanied by a “Profiles in History” LOA, numbered 2639.
