Red Ruffing only needed a change in scenery to become a Hall of Fame legendary pitcher. After moving from the Red Sox to the Yankees, similiar to Babe Ruth, Ruffing joined forces with Ruth and Gehrig as the Yankees dominated the thirties and forties. Charles "Red" Ruffing is not only in Coopertown but has a Monument Park plaque as well in Yankee stadium. This autograph appears on a 1941 Play Ball Card, the only year that Play Ball cards were printed in color. Encapsulated in PSA/DNA plastic, this 1941 Red Ruffing Play Ball #20 card is signed across the front by Red Ruffing in blue ink rating a 9. It is PSA/DNA certified authentic.
