He played his storied 18 year Major League all for the New York Yankees, winning three American League MVP Awards and playing in 16 All-Star games. The Mick played on 12 pennant winners and won seven World Series Championships with the Yanks. This is a very rare Mickey Mantle NY Yankees payroll check in the amount of $810.00. Due to the date, we believe that this was issued to Mickey for playing in the Old Timers Day game in 1978. On the top left front of the check is the NY Yankees top hat logo printed in blue and red. The top center has NY Yankees in script and the bottom left front has Mickey’s actual former address in Texas. The verso of the check has a beautiful and large Mickey Mantle signature rating a 9 with the slightest small cancellation number between the M and the A.
