From the time he first stepped on the field as a rookie during the 1996 World Championship season, Derek Jeter has been a fan favorite in the Bronx.  His continuously clutch play was a big factor in shaping the Yankees dynasty of the late 90s, during which time he enjoyed four World Series titles in his first five years in pinstripes.  Through the first 14 years of his career, the future HOFer has already gathered 2,747 hits and 1,068 RBIs, along with 10 All-Star selections, four Gold Glove awards, and a fifth World Championship in 2009.  His devoted, workmanlike approach to the game has won him the respect of the league and his teammates alike; the quiet leader has been the acting Yankee team captain since 2003, and his number 2 is certainly going to be retired by the franchise after he stops playing.  On the front left tail of this game-used 2008 road jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag. Attached are the size “48” and “2008” flag tags. Inside the left seam is a wash tag with code "0062" Across the front is "New York" in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the back is the player's number "2" in the same tackle twill. On the back outside collar is the official "MLB" logo patch. On the left sleeve is the “Yankee Stadium Final Season” patch. On the right sleeve is the “2008 All-Star Game” patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Yankees-Steiner LOA. Steiner Hologram #88403. MLB Hologram #898173 BB.
