The top two buttons are in place, but all other buttons have been removed and replaced with a zipper. Also, an extra foot long strap has been added to the back collar. This was done due to the coach having arthritis and not being able to button the jersey by himself. On the front tail is the "McAULIFFE" manufacturer's tag. Below are size "48" and year “’61” tags. Across the front is "RED SOX." On the back is the coach’s number "34." All lettering and numbering is done in red on navy felt. The jersey shows wear and besides the above mentioned modifications appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
