Throughout the September 6-11, 2005 home stand in tribute to the efforts of organizations working to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina, the Yankees wore Salvation Army patches on the right sleeves of their jerseys. On the front left tail of the Wayne Franklin home jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag. Attached are the size “48” and “2005” flag tags. Inside the left seam is a wash tag with code "0062" on it. On the left breast is the "NY" interlocked logo. On the back is the player number "48." All lettering and numbering are done in navy blue tackle twill. On the back outside collar is the official "MLB" logo patch. On the right sleeve is the "Salvation Army" patch. MLB Hologram# MT 00654232. On the front left tail of the Mike Buddie road jersey is the "Russell Athletic" manufacturers size 48 tag with wash instructions. Attached is the "100% Polyester" and “2” Extra Length” flag tags. Below is the "1999" year tag. Across the front is "New York." On the back is the player number "41." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a black armband done in elastic felt and a number "5" done in black tackle twill, in memory of Yankees greats Catfish Hunter and Joe DiMaggio, who both died in 1999. Both jerseys show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind
