This cap originated from the collection of Hall of Fame sports writer and former BBWAA Executive Secretary Jack Lang. The outside of this significant cap exhibits nice wear while retaining a beautiful appearance. The inside front of the cap has Stengel either very neatly printed or stencilled in. There is a very faint autograph that once read “To Jack, Casey Stengel” which is barely visible. It was manufactured by Tim McAuliffe Inc. and still retains that original label in the back of the headband. The headband is leather and also exhibits excellent wear. This significant item also comes with a LOA from the Lang family.
