Roy McMillan was a shortstop, coach and manager in Major League Baseball. From 1951 through 1966, McMillan played for the Cincinnati Reds (1951-60), Milwaukee Braves (1961-64) and New York Mets (1964-66). Following his retirement as a player, McMillan managed the Milwaukee Brewers (1972) and New York Mets (1975). In a 16-season career, McMillan posted a .243 average with 68 home runs and 594 RBI in 2093 games. On the front left tail is the "SPALDING" manufacturers tag. Below is the wash instructions tag. Attached is the “Set 1 1966” flag tag. In the back of the collar is a felt strip tag "40 66 11" in blue chain stitch. Across the front is "METS" in blue on orange felt. Below on the left and on the back is the player number "11" in blue on orange felt. On the left sleeve is the "METS" patch. “ROY” is written inside the jersey in black marker. In the front waistband of the pants is the "SPALDING" manufacturers tag. Adjacent is the wash instructions tag. Attached is the “Set 1 1966” flag tag. In the back waistband of the pants is a felt strip tag "33 25 66 11" in blue chain stitch. “ROY” is written inside the pants in black marker. The uniform shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
