Nicknamed "Rocket" because of the fastball he threw at well over 90 miles an hour, Clemens also has a sharp-breaking slider, a good curve, and excellent control. That combination won him American League Cy Young Awards in 1986, 1987, 1991, 1997, 1998, and 2001. This Louisville black leather baseball glove was used by pitcher Roger Clemens circa 2003 during his tenure with the New York Yankees. On the outer wrist is the "Rocket Man" logo patch. Also on the outside of the thumb "LOUISVILLE" embroidered in white with the "Louisville" logo embroidered. On the outside fingers "TPX" is embroidered in white. On the palm is "TPX PRO LOUISVILLE." On the inside thumb appear "12.5 INCHES" and "GENUINE STEERHIDE LEATHER." On the inside pinky "ROCKET/22" "PROFESSIONAL MODEL” is present. Everything on the inside of the glove is branded. The glove is autographed in silver paint marker with an added "03 300 W/ 4000K" and rates an 8. Accompanied by a newspaper photo that matches this style glove. The glove shows very light game-use. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA and a detailed letter of provenance as well as an LOA from Denny Eskin.
