In 1983 Brooks Robinson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. He began his professional baseball career as an 18 year old with the Orioles, and gained great renown for his fielding ability. Nicknamed "The Human Vacuum Cleaner," he is generally acclaimed as the greatest defensive third-baseman of all-time. He won 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards during his career, which ties him with pitcher Jim Kaat for the second most all-time for any player at any position. This Rawlings SM6 Stan Musial retail model was used by the greatest fielding third baseman of all-time. It shows excellent game-use, has an old faded “Robinson” done by the equipment manager in laundry marker on the bottom of the left thumb. There is also some faded illegible writing below that. It is signed 4 times by Brooks, one on each of the four fingers. The first two are done in ballpoint ink rating a 9 and an 8, while the second two are done in magic marker rating a 9 and a 4 due to fading. Comes with a LOA from JSA as well as a Denny Eskin LOA.
