He is a former baseball player and manager of the Yomiuri Giants in Nippon Professional Baseball. He became the manager of the Yomiuri Giants between 1984 and 1988. He led the Giants to one Central League pennant in 1987. He holds the record for home runs in the Nippon Professional Baseball league, having hit 868 in his career. Inside the cap is the “TAMAZAWA SPORTING” manufacturers tag. In the back of the band is the size “58” flag tag. On the front is “YG” in orange embroidery. Autographed under the brim in black marker in English and in Japanese and rates a 9. The hat shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. This magnificent black Japanese style baseball cap was worn by the great Sadaharu Oh himself when he was a managers. It was given to former Major League pitcher Rick Rhoden in Japan after a Japanese tour baseball game. It is autographed by Sadaharu in black sharpie underneath the bill in both English and Japanese. It is the most professionally and beautifully constructed baseball hat we have ever seen. It is all black with the “YG” insignia in orange, and an orange beanie on top with evidence of some Japanese dirt. It is a size 58. Comes with LOAs from JSA and Rick Rhoden.
