At Princeton Jacob W. Slagle, 1926, won his letter in football and baseball and a place on the All-American football eleven. Also, he won honors in his geology course. For his athletic skill the University this year appointed him assistant football coach; for his academic record the trustees last week made him assistant to Dean Christian Gauss. In the back collar is the “Spalding” manufacturers tag. To the left the player name “Slagle” is chain stitched in red. Across the front “PRINCETON” in navy blue felt. Matching flannel cap with no manufacturers tags. “P” on front in navy blue felt. The jersey and cap show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
