In 1946, the Boston Red Sox won their sixth AL Pennant. This silver presentation lighter commemorates that year’s World Series appearance. On the front panel of the lighter is a depiction of a baseball diamond with blue base paths, inside which are the words “WORLD SERIES BOSTON RED SOX”. In the middle of the diamond is the year “1946” surrounding a pair of red socks from the Red Sox logo. The front and back panels are otherwise plain silver with vertically engraved lines. On the bottom of the lighter are small engravings that say “REG TRADEMARK” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” around the manufacturer’s logo engraving, which reads “SPEED”. The lighter is in overall NRMT condition.
