Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle was one of the few survivors of the tragic 1977 plane crash that killed band members Ronnie Van Zandt and Steve and Cassie Gaines at the peak of Skynyrd’s popularity. As Pyle recounts in the included letter, the memory of that day will forever be etched in his mind. He signed the letter in blue pen, with the signature rating a 9. Also included here is an acoustic guitar bearing the band’s signature Southern symbol, the Confederate Flag. Pyle has also signed this guitar in blue sharpie below handwritten Freebird lyrics, with the signature rating an 8. Comes with a LOA from JSA and a DVD of Pyle’s private signing session.
