Alton White is best known for being the first player of African descent, after Willie O'Ree, to have played on a professional ice hockey team and also for being the first hockey player of African descent to score 20 goals in a single season for a major league hockey team. In the back inside tail is the “Stall & Dean” size 48 manufacturers tag. Diagonally on front is “REDS” in white tackle twill. On back and the right sleeve is the player number “10” in the same tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the “Providence Reds” logo patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
