Trippi was a big part in the battling between the NFL and AAFC. The AAFC's New York Yankees were sure they had signed Trippi, but Charles W. Bidwill Sr. of the Cardinals signed Trippi to a four year contract worth $100,000. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1968. These all black cleats have metal rounded cleats on the bottom. Inside the right shoe tongue is the “MacGregor Goldsmith” manufacturers tag. Size 11F is printed on the top of each tongue. “1-9” is written on the inside and outside of each cleat. Each cleat is autographed in silver marker and rates a 9. The cleats show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. Accompanied by a letter of provenance.
