In 1968 under the direction of head coach Woody Hayes, Ohio State claimed its fifth of seven National Championships. This 28 gram (1 ounce) 10K gold size 10 to 10-1/2 ring commemorates that championship. “OHIO” is embossed diagonally in gold lettering on an oval ruby red stone on the top of the ring. Around that is cast in bold lettering “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS”. On the right panel the championship year “1968” is cast over an image of a football, while “OHIO STATE” is cast above a depiction of the Buckeyes’ Ohio Stadium on the left panel. On the inside right side of the ring is the manufacturer’s name “JOSTENS” with a “10K”, and a script identification code of “CS 1823” is engraved inside the left side of the ring. The ring is in NRMT-MINT overall condition and comes in a black velour box.
