In 2000, the regular season NFC East champion NY Giants strolled into the playoffs with a sterling 12-4 record. After an opening kickoff touchdown return by Ron Dixon in the divisional round of the postseason, Big Blue proceeded to eliminate the hated Philadelphia Eagles 20-10. Next up were the highly touted NFC Central champion Minnesota Vikings, who, to the delight of a boisterous Giants Stadium crowd, were completely steamrolled in a one-sided 41-0 victory in the Conference Championship game. It was an impressive showing for Giants QB Kerry Collins, who was in the midst of what would prove to be an up and down career. Offered here is the stunning 14K yellow gold size 10 Giants NFC Champions ring, which commemorates that memorable shutout win over Minnesota. (The winning touch would ultimately elude the Giants in Super Bowl XXXV, where they met a red hot Baltimore Ravens team led by the Ray Lewis freight train.) On the top of this large 44 gram (1-1/2 ounce) ring is a 17-diamond encrusted “NY” logo, set over a gorgeous midnight blue, translucent football shape stone. “N.F.C. CHAMPIONS” flanks the logo on top and bottom, which is surrounded by another 38 inlaid diamonds on its perimeter—55 diamonds in all. On the right side panel of the ring are castings of the “41-0” score of the Conference Championship game, as well as images of the NFC Championship trophy and the Super Bowl XXXV logo. On the left side panel are castings of the Giants 2000 final record of “14-5” as well as a Giants helmet and “Anderson”, who was a Giants front office man and owned this ring. Inside the ring his full name “Brad Anderson” is inscribed in script along with “14K” printed to the left of that. This visually appealing ring is unworn and in overall NRMT-MINT condition. The ring comes in a black velour box.
