Stabler was drafted in the second round of the 1968 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Stabler first made his mark in the NFL in a 1972 playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After entering the game in relief of Daryle Lamonica, he scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard scramble. In the back inside collar is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions. To the left is an additional manufacturer’s "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Oakland Raiders" tag. Attached is a “L” flag tag. On the front, back, and both sleeves is the player number "12" in silver tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "STABLER" in silver screen print on a black name plate. The jersey shows light quarterback game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
