In a 1996 poll celebrating the 50th anniversary of the NBA, Ewing was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Basketball Players of All Time. On April 7, 2008 he was elected to the National Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. His number 33 was retired by the Knicks in 2003. On the left front tail is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturers size 46 tag. Next to that is an additional manufacturer's strip tag with "6" L.B." on it. On the inside back collar is the "Cosby" distributors tag. Across the front is "NEW YORK" in orange on white tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "33" in the same tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "EWING" in white tackle twill. The jersey shows tremendous game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
