For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, Bird personified hustle, consistency and excellence in all areas of play; as a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a defender, a team player, and, perhaps above all, as a clutch performer. Bird was so self-confident that he was known to waltz up to the opponents' bench before tipoff and predict a 40-point performance for himself. He was such a deadly shooter that he sometimes practiced three-pointers with his eyes closed. On the left front tail is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturers size 46 tag. Above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics” tag. Across the front is "Celtics." Adjacent to that is an additional manufacturer’s tag with “2” L.B.” on it and above that is the “87” year tag. Below and on back is the player number "33." Across the back is the player name “BIRD.” All lettering and numbering is done in green tackle twill. Autographed on front in black marker and rates an 8. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a Basketball Hall of Fame LOA.
