After having just left Michael and Scottie in Chicago, coach Phil Jackson immediately found himself the beneficiary of another dominating duo. This time it would be Kobe and Shaq, who began the new millennium by taking Jackson back to the Finals, where they would beat the Pacers and hand their head coach his seventh World Championship. It would turn out to be the beginning of Jackson’s history making third three-peat. This size 13 to 13-1/4 14K gold World Championship ring is from that season. The ring weighs an incredible 60 grams (2.1 ounces). On the top is a gold “LAKERS” logo, which sits on top of 28 diamonds. Around the perimeter of this panel are 10 more inlaid diamonds, and the words “WORLD CHAMPIONS”. On the left panel is cast the name “QUINTON”, the person to whom this ring was team issued, as well as the NBA logo and the Lakers’ regular season and playoff records, “67-15” and “15-5”, respectively. On the right side panel there is a casting of a basketball hoop, into which the ring’s biggest diamond, a roughly 1/2 carat stone, is falling. On top of the hoop are the words “BLING BLING” and below it is the year “2000”. Inside the ring is engraved “14K”, and it is made by Masters of Design and Henry Kay Jewelers. Ring shows very light wear and is in overall NRMT condition. Comes in a black velour box.
