In 1991 the Chicago Bulls would follow the great Michael Jordan to their first ever NBA Championship. In defeating Magic Johnson and the Lakers in five games, this Finals series proved to be a changing of the guard. Out was five-time World Champion Magic, who retired the next year, and in were Jordan and the Bulls, who became the NBA’s benchmark franchise over the next decade, completing a record setting double three-peat. With an average of 31.2 points per game in the series Jordan easily took home Finals MVP honors, an award which would be bestowed on him for his play in each of the Bulls’ five succeeding championships. This size 12 14K gold championship ring celebrated this first ever Bulls championship in 1991. On the top panel a gold Bulls logo sits on top of a double inlaid black onyx stone. Around this are 30 inlaid diamond stones. On the left panel is the name “SMITH”, under which is an image of the Larry O’Brien championship trophy and the “61-21” record that the Bulls amassed during the 1990-1991 regular season. Below that is the word “PHOTO”. On the right panel are the words “WORLD CHAMPIONS” and the year “1991” around the NBA logo. Below that is the Bulls playoff record of “15-2”. The ring comes in a black velour box.
