The leader of the team that won three World Championships in the 1980s, Hall of Famer Larry Bird was the NBA Finals MVP in 1984 and 1986. He was also the NBA MVP for three consecutive seasons from 1984 through 1986 and was before that the 1980 NBA Rookie of the Year. This jacket was originally obtained at a Celtics Charity Auction. On the inside back collar is the "Champion" manufacturer’s size 46 tag with wash instructions. Next to that is the Champion "YEAR 1991 BODY LENGTH +3 SLEEVE LENGTH 0” tag. Across the front is "CELTICS" in green on yellow tackle twill. On the right breast is the official "NBA" embroidered logo. On each sleeve is the official "Celtics Shamrock" logo in green on yellow tackle twill. On the back is the player name "BIRD" in white tackle twill on a green name plate. On the lower right front is the “Basketball Centennial 1891-1991” patch. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
