Five-time All-Star and Hall of Famer Dennis Johnson made a big splash in the NBA during his 13 years in the league. When he crossed the 15,000 career point mark in 1990, he became just the 11th player in NBA history to reach that mark while also collecting 5,000 rebounds. At 6-4, Johnson made up for his size by playing tenacious defense, an attribute for which he was well known and loved in his adopted city of Boston. His three NBA Championships, five All-Defensive First Team nods, 1979 NBA Finals MVP award, and five All-Star selections represent an amazing career trajectory for someone who measured just 5-9 in high school. When looking back on D.J.’s Hall of Fame career, his stunning achievements on the basketball court can surely be attributed to his will to win at the highest level of his sport. Johnson wore this All-Star uniform during one of his five career All-Star appearances. Dennis Johnson was a reserve for the Western Conference, scoring 19 points on 5 of 8 shooting in a 123 to 120 defeat to the Eastern Conference. On the front left tail is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturer’s size 42 tag. On front is "WEST ALL STARS" in white on red screen print. The player number "25" appears on both the front and back in white vinyl lettering. Across the back is the player name "D. JOHNSON" in white tackle twill. In the back waistband of the shorts is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturers size 34 tag. Next to this is the player number “25” strip tag. "WEST" appears on each leg in white screen print. The uniform shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from the Johnson Family.
