Phil Niekro was enshrined in Cooperstown in 1997. Inside the rear collar is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. On the left front tail is a strip tag with “83 1”. Across the front is “Atlanta”. Player number “35” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in blue on white tackle twill. Player name “NIEKRO” appears across the back in blue tackle twill on a blue nameplate. On the left sleeve is the “Georgia 250” embroidered patch. Niekro has signed the front of the shirt in blue marker adding the inscription “Best Wishes Always 318 wins” rating an 8-9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as by an additional LOA.
