On the left front tail of the road grey flannel jersey is the “Spalding” manufacturer’s tag with size a “40” tag attached. Embroidered directly below is “Zimmer 59” done in blue chain stitch. Across the front is “Los Angeles” in blue felt that has been restored. Player number “23” appears on front in red felt and on back in blue felt, both of which have been restored. Zimmer has signed the front in black marker adding the inscription “1955 WS Champs” rating an 8. On the inner waistband of the road flannel pants is the “Spalding” manufacturer’s tag with attached size “34” tag. Adjacent is a felt strip tag with “Zimmer 23” done in blue chain stitch. Zimmer has added his signature with the same inscription in black marker rating a 9. The uniform shows game-use and besides what is mentioned appears to have no further alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. Further accompanied by a Dodgers magazine showing a photo of Zimmer during the 1959 World Series with the same number font making this a possible World Series worn jersey.
