Nicknamed “Double X”, Jimmie Foxx hit .364, with 58 home runs with 169 RBIs, missing the Triple Crown by just three points in batting average in 1932. Foxx did win the Triple Crown the following season, with a batting average of .356, 163 RBIs, and 48 home runs. He won back-to-back MVP honors in 1932 and 1933. Foxx was one of the most feared sluggers of his era. The great Yankee pitcher Lefty Gomez once said of him, "He has muscles in his hair." He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1951. Manuf: H&B, Model: Signature Model - Pre Model Number, (Side Written Illegible 6-15-3), Length: 35.25 in, Weight: 31.6 oz, Wood: Ash, Condition: Cracked at the handle with checking on the back barrel and nails on the front barrel. There are mount holes on the top barrel and knob as well as a small chip on the back barrel. There is a small piece missing from the handle crack. Ball/Hit marks surround the entire barrel. A light coat of pine tar is present on the handle. Overall: Good with Heavy use that cannot be attributed to Foxx. The bat order records show Foxx ordering 36-39 ounce bats during this time period. Bats are known to lose weight over time but due to the weight discrepancy, we cannot confirm the use was by Foxx. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA.
