Bobby Jones attended the University of North Carolina from 1971-74. It became apparent that nothing seemed to disturb him and the final buzzer meant the end of just another day on the job. “He has a rare ability to divorce himself from the games after they end,” said Dean Smith, Jones’s coach at North Carolina. “He is a man at peace with himself. It’s what I term internal affirmation…and in Bobby, it’s strong.” In 2002, The University of North Carolina placed 12 players on the Atlantic Coast Conference's all-time men's basketball team as selected by a panel of more than 100 media, coaches and school administrators. The 12 players are more than any other school in the league and included Bobby Jones. On the right front tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “44” that is heavily faded. Adjacent is a white label with “4” LONGER”. Across the front is “NORTH CAROLINA”. Player number “34” appears on both the front and back. Player name “JONES” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done on white tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a Bobby Jones LOA.
