Julius “Dr. J” Erving literally and figuratively launched the basketball world into the “modern” style of play we are now accustomed to. There is no doubt the Doctor earned his degree in basketball; victor of three championships, four league MVP’s, and three league scoring titles throughout the ABA/NBA. Julius was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993 along with Walt Bellamy, Dan Issel, Ann E. Meyers, Dick McGuire, Calvin Murphy, and Uljana Semjonova. This glass award was presented to Erving in honor of him being inducted. It measures 7” x 9” at its widest and tallest points. It is made of solid glass and shaped like a basketball with a small base at bottom. The front is etched with “Julius W. Erving Basketball Hall of Fame May 10, 1993” with the HOF logo. The award is in NRMT condition overall. Accompanied by an Erving Family LOA. This item will be expensive to ship due fragility.
