Al Trautwig was the stick boy for the NY Islanders in the Nassau Coliseum during the team’s inaugural season of 1972. This jacket was worn by the first coach in the franchise’s history, Phil Goyette. Inside the rear collar is the “Champion” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and size “LARGE”. Number “1” is written in black marker. Down the right front is “ISLANDERS” done in orange on white tackle twill. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a LOA from Al Trautwig.
