Sam Smith wore number “50” with the Colonels during the 1969-70 season and half of the 1970-71 season. He changed his number to “5” during the 1970-71 ABA season. Inside the left rear tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with size “44” Adjacent are two labels, one with wash instructions and another with an alteration beginning “3” with the remainder faded. Across the front is “Kentucky”. Player number “5’ appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. The name on back “Smith” has been removed. The jersey shows light game-use and other than what is mentioned appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Al Trautwig.
