Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is widely considered to be one of the greatest NBA players of all time. During his 20 years in the NBA, he scored 38,387 points, the highest total of any player in league history in addition to winning a record six MVP Awards. In his first season with LA in 1975, Jabbar had a dominating season, averaging 27.7 points per game and leading the league in rebounding, blocked shots and minutes played. His 1111 defensive rebounds remains the NBA single-season record. In 1979, the Lakers acquired Magic Johnson as the first overall draft pick, paving the way for a second Jabbar dynasty as the Lakers went on to become the most dominant team of the 1980s, appearing in the finals eight times and winning five NBA championships. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1995 and in 1996 was named to the NBA Top 50 Players. On the center front tail is the “Tiernan” manufact6urer’s tag. On front is “LAKERS”. Player name “ABDUL-JABBAR” appears across the back. All these letters are done in purple on white tackle twill. Player number “33” appears on both the front and back in white on purple tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
