Although David Cone began his career pitching for his hometown Kansas City Royals he was quickly traded to the Mets prior to the 1987 season. After establishing himself as a dominant pitcher in New York including a 20-3 record in 1988 Cone was traded to Toronto and played a major role in their 1992 World Series Championship. After another stint in Kansas City Cone was traded back to New York in 1995--this time with the Yankees. Over the next 6 seasons Cone would help the Yankees win 4 World Series Championships and even pitch a Perfect Game on July 18 1999 -- the signature game of his outstanding career. David Cone hand signed this official MLB baseball and inscribed 'PG 7-18-99.' A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
