The scene may have gone something like this...Mickey Mantle and his good friend “Slick” (Whitey Ford) were doing an autograph show in Butte, Montana. At some point, The Mick needed to take a break and relax, maybe throw back a few. Upon his return to signing, he decided to have a little fun and make his friend laugh in the process. The result, a “Mickey Mickey” signed baseball...perhaps from too much vodka vodka. Not your typical Mantle autographed baseball, quite rare and a sure conversation piece. OAL Brown ball signed on the sweet spot “Mickey Mickey”...not “Mickey Mantle” in blue ink rating a 9. Whitey Ford has signed the south panel in blue ink rating an 8-9. The ball is clean with the slightest of toning, EX-NM overall. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and backed by a LOA from PSA/DNA.
