The 1969 Seattle Pilots season was a season in American baseball. It was the team's inaugural season, having entered Major League Baseball as an expansion team during the off season. The team was placed in the newly established American League West, where they finished sixth with a record of 64-98, 33 games behind the Minnesota Twins. The team would spend only one season in Seattle, as the franchise would move to Milwaukee the following season and became the Milwaukee Brewers. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. Across the front is “PILOTS”. Player number “52” appears on back. All numbers and letters are done in blue tackle twill. There was no number “52” on the roster in spring training, 1969. However, the jersey does show dirt staining and appears to have been worn. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as spring training used and in our opinion, shows excellent use.
