Leo Durocher won over 2000 games as a Major League manager and was the first manager to win 500 games with three different clubs. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1994. We were told by our consignor that this jacket was given to his family, who owned a local business in Chicago, by Durocher teammate while he managed the Cubs. The “Wilson” tag dates to mid 1950’s making the jacket a carry over to circa 1967 which makes it a stretch. Inside the rear collar is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with size “44”. Inside the lower button path is the manager’s number “2” embroidered in red stitch on a blue felt swatch. On the left chest is the team disc logo embroidered in red, white and blue stitch. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as managers worn and in our opinion, shows wear. Magnificent, all original condition.
