Original line-up card from 1962, the inaugural season of the NY Mets. Standard size, 3-3/4” x 6-3/4”, would have been carried to home plate and maintained throughout the game, hence the creasing in half. “ON ROAD NEW YORK” on front with the order Chacon, Neal, Woodling (crossed out and Herscher inserted), Throneberry, Hickman, Christopher, Kanehl (crossed out and Coleman and Mantilla added), Cannizzaro (misspelled by Stengel Canizzaro, classic Casey) and Craig. Signed at the bottom, “Stengel” in blue ink rating an 8-9. On back are possible substitute names Taylor, Coleman (crossed out), Ashburn, Pignatano, Herscher, Mantilla and Thomas. EX+ with light corner wear, accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
