This bronze nautical ship wheel desk clock measures approximately 9” x 2-3/4” x 5” and weighs 4.3 pounds. It was presented to Tony “Chuck” Cuccinello, former major league player and one of the coaches for the American League in the 1952 All-Star Game. The clock and holosteric barometer sit on a one-piece base that is engraved “ALL STAR GAME - SHIBE PARK - PHILADELPHIA - JULY 8, 1952”. The wind-up clock is in working order, the manufacturers name “CHELSEA” appears on the face. The holosteric barometer features two hands, the black hand measures the barometric pressure and the gold hand can be rotated 360 degrees using the dial on the front. Both the clock and the barometer and modeled after nautical ships wheels, each featuring eight bronze handles. The faces of each are in near mint condition and all of the hands are original. This 60-year old piece is in EX condition with some minor pitting and wear, it is accompanied by an additional LOA.
